About Dr Nick Marsden
Dr Nick Marsden is a UK trained and board certified consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon, based in Abu Dhabi. With extensive experience in cosmetic breast and abdominal contouring surgery, and reconstructive microsurgery, he is dedicated to delivering exceptional results through advanced surgical techniques.
Dr Nick earned his medical degree and a BSc in anatomy from Cardiff University, graduating in 2007. During his speciality surgical training he served as a clinical research fellow at the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research (NISCHR), obtaining his research M.D. from Swansea University. He completed his specialist training in plastic surgery at the renowned Welsh Centre for Burns & Plastic Surgery, earning Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (F.R.C.S Plast) in 2018.
Committed to furthering his expertise, Dr. Nick undertook a prestigious microsurgical reconstructive fellowship in Melbourne, Australia, where he trained alongside world-leading plastic surgeons in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He then returned to the UK for a highly competitive fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery of the lower limb in Bristol. His surgical training experiences allowed him to refine a wide range of cutting-edge surgical techniques, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest advancements in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Before relocating to Abu Dhabi, Dr. Nick was a consultant plastic surgeon at the Welsh Centre for Burns & Plastic Surgery (Swansea) and the University Hospital of Wales Major Trauma Centre (Cardiff). During this time, he performed thousands of procedures including post-weight loss body contouring, breast and reconstructive surgery. His dual expertise in reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery ensures the highest standards of care and optimal outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Nick is now based full-time at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi, where he provides personalised plastic surgery care with a strong emphasis on precision, safety, and patient well-being. He is available for consultations and discussion during his clinic hours at SSMC.
